Gulls set for TCCC title defense as the tournament's #1 seed

2011 TCCC Softball Championship Pairings

Springfield, Mass. -
The Commonwealth Coast Conference (TCCC) Softball Championship Tournament begins with opening round play on Monday, May 2nd and the Endicott College Gulls will be competing as the \#1 seed following a 23-1 conference record in 2011. 

Endicott has won eight straight conference titles and are playing for their 13th championship trophy in program history. 

There will be a play-in game between \#8 Salve Regina and \#5 Roger Williams on Monday, May 2nd at 3:00 pm, the winner of which will face off against \#4 University of New England on Tuesday, May 3rd at 2:30 pm at Endicott.  Approximately twenty minutes after the conclusion of that game, the winner will play \#1 Endicott.  Tuesday's games mark the start of the double elimination portion of the TCCC Tournament.  

The tournament will continue through the rest of the week, culminating with the championship game on Saturday, May 7th.  The tournament championship will earn the automatic qualifying bid to move on to the 2011 NCAA Division III Softball Championship.

Game 2 - \#7 New England College at \#6 Curry 4:00 p.m.

DOUBLE ELIMINATION PHASE

Tuesday, May 3
Game 3 - Game 1 Winner vs. \#4 University of New England (at Endicott) 2:30 p.m.
Game 4 - Game 2 Winner vs. \#3 Nichols (at Western New England) 2:30 p.m.
Game 5 - Game 3 Winner at \#1 Endicott *
Game 6 - Game 4 Winner at \#2 Western New England *
* Games 5 and 6 begin 20 minutes following the completion of Games 3 and 4, respectively.

Thursday, May 5
