BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott men's soccer team lost a hard-fought overtime match against Salve Regina, 2-1, on Tuesday night at Hempstead Stadium.
The Gulls were able to get on the board after Joe Mepham (Sudbury, Mass.) netted a goal early in the second half (48:05) to knot the game at one-all.
Following a strong defensive standstill that only featured five shots between both schools after Mepham's score, the match headed into overtime.
From there, the Seahawks were able to secure the win with a tally from Evan Arpin (Andover, Mass.) at the 97:21 mark.
Meanwhile, in net, Zach Regulbuto (Somers, Conn.) stopped three shots in the loss (4-5-1).
BEYOND THE BOX
- The Seahawks are 7-1-0 in their last eight matches.
- Salve Regina improved to 4-3-1 on the road this season.
- Mepham leads the Gulls in goals (7, fifth in the CCC).
