BEVERLY, Mass. — The Endicott men's soccer team defeated Framingham State, 3-0, on Sunday evening at Hempstead Stadium.
Endicott struck early at the 9:48 mark when Joe Mepham (Trumbull, Conn.) fed Cole Elgin (Franklin Lakes, N.J.) with a one-timer opportunity in front of the net to give the Gulls a 1-0 lead.
From there, Mepham managed to find the net twice (30:17, 37:28) to extend Endicott's advantage to 3-0. Max McCurdy (South Hadley, Mass.) was credited with an assist on the second score.
In net, Zach Regulbuto (Somers, Conn.) stopped four shots to improve his record to 1-1 on the season.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- Endicott now leads the all-time series versus Framingham State, 2-1-0 (first meeting since 2011).
- The Gulls held the Rams to zero shots in the first half.
- Elgin netted his first career colligate goal.
- Mepham leads the team with three goals on the year.
