BOSTON, Mass. – The Endicott men's basketball team fell to Suffolk in a tightly contested game, 75-73, on Tuesday evening in the quarterfinal round of the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) tournament.
Down 42-33 at the half, the Gulls soared out on a 19-6 run that gave the team a 52-48 advantage (largest lead) at the 13:27 mark of the second stanza.
From there, the two schools traded blows that eventually resulted in a 71-71 tie with just 1:42 remaining in the contest before Suffolk sealed the deal by ending the playoff matchup on a 4-2 run.
Cameron Ray (Lowell, Mass.) led all scorers with 24 points (8-15 FG, 5-7 3PT, 3-3 FT) to go along with two rebounds and a pair of assists.
Meanwhile, Billy Arseneault (Lynnfield, Mass.) also recorded 21 points (9-16 FG, 2-2 FT), six rebounds, and four assists.
Jalen Echevarria (Lynn, Mass.) rounded out the list of individual highlights for the Gulls scoring 19 points, two rebounds, and an assist.
BEYOND THE BOX
- The all-time series between Endicott and Suffolk is now tied at 3-3 (Suffolk 1-0 postseason).
- Suffolk is 8-4 at home this season.
- The Rams led the Gulls by as many as 14 points (1st Half l 04:19).
- Suffolk's bench outscored Endicott, 16-5.
- The playoff matchup featured five ties and 10 total lead changes.

Suffolk (16-9) will play the winner of No. 1 Nichols/No. 9 Wentworth in the CCC Semifinals on Thursday, February 24 (time TBD)
Endicott's season comes to a close at 13-11 overall.
