Men’s Basketball Rallies Past Salem State, 78-74

BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott men's basketball team defeated Salem State University, 78-74, in non-conference action on Thursday night at MacDonald Gymnasium.

Trailing 71-63 (eight points, largest deficit) with 6:08 remaining in the contest, the Gulls orchestrated a 15-3 run down the stretch to come away with the victory.

Cameron Ray (Lowell, Mass.) and Mark Barrett (Brookline, Mass.) fueled the offensive outburst with five points each. Billy Arseneault (Lynnfield, Mass.) and Dillon Grant (Dennis, Mass.) also chipped in with three and two points, respectively, during the game-winning run.

Tonight's game was fairly even throughout as Endicott led the contest for 18:35, while Salem State held an advantage for 17:58 of the matchup (tied 3:27).

Overall, Grant and Ray finished with career-highs in points scoring 19 (8-10 FG, 3-5 FT) and 16 (6-13 FG, 4-11 3PT), respectively.

Jalen Echevarria (Lynn, Mass.) also contributed 10 points, five rebounds, four assists, and three steals, while Arseneault compiled his fourth career double-double via 11 points and 10 assists.
