Men’s Basketball Handles Curry, 95-63

MILTON, Mass. — The Endicott men's basketball team defeated Curry College, 95-63, in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action on Saturday afternoon at Katz Gymnasium.

The Gulls saw five student-athletes score in double-figures, including four out of five starters, to highlight the win.

Jalen Echevarria (Lynn, Mass.) led the group with 19 points, while Cameron Ray (Lowell, Mass.), Billy Arseneault (Lynnfield, Mass.), Mark Barrett (Brookline, Mass.), and Stephen Fama (Lynnfield, Mass.) scored 15, 14, 14, and 12, respectively.

Curry raced out to a 9-2 advantage in the first four minutes of the matchup, but Endicott responded with a 17-0 run over the next 4:23 of action (15:21-10:58) to seize all momentum in the contest.

From there, the Gulls took a 46-35 lead into the half and led by as many as 32 points in the victory.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

  • Endicott is 30-13 all-time against Curry.
  • The Gulls have won 17 in a row versus the Colonels.
  • Endicott produced season-highs from the floor (57.6% | 34-59 | first time over 50%) and long distance (61.1% | 11-18 | first time over 60%, minimum 15 attempts).

Endicott (6-3, 3-1 CCC) hosts conference rival Nichols College on Wednesday, January 12 at 7:30 PM. Curry (2-10, 1-4 CCC) hosts the University of New England on Monday, January 10 at 4 PM.
