SPRINGFIELD, Mass. –After winning their fifth Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Championship with a 90-66 win over Salve Regina over the weekend, Gulls junior Lance Greene (Dorchester, Mass.) and freshman John Henault (Lunenburg, Mass.) were honored as the Player and Rookie of the Week for their efforts during the conference tournament.

Greene and Henault were integral parts of Endicott’s run towards their first CCC Championship since the 2005-06 season.  The Gulls earned an automatic qualifying bid into the NCAA Division III Tournament where they will face Oswego State in the first round on Friday evening at 7:30 pm.

Greene opened the week netting a team-high 17 points while grabbing six rebounds in a 77-64 quarterfinal victory over \# 5 Roger Williams. Greene continued to dominate on the floor in a hard-fought 71-67 semifinal win against \#2 Wentworth, hitting 78% of his shots from the field (7-of-9), 75% from the charity stripe and a perfect 3-of-3 from beyond the arc.

His 20-point performance helped the Gulls overcome an 11-point second half deficit and advance to the final round of the CCC tournament. Greene closed out the week pouring in a week-high 24 points and grabbing seven caroms in the CCC title game. For the week, Greene averaged 20.3 points, 6.7 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 2.0 steals per contest.

Henault averaged 15.7 points, 2.0 rebounds, 1.0 assist and 2.0 steals per game en route to a 3-0 CCC Championship week for the Gulls.  Henault, who drilled 10 three-pointers on the week, tallied 13 points in a 71-64 quarterfinal win over \#5 Roger Williams which included 5-of-8 shooting from the field, 1-of-3 from three-point range and 2-of-2 from the free-throw line.

His best performance of the week came in the 2012 CCC Championship in which he converted six of his eight three-point field goal attempts to go along with 9-of-13 shooting from the floor to tie for a team-high 24 points.

Henault closed out the CCC tournament shooting 64% from the field, 59% from the long range and 67% from the line.
