Magee's 34-point outburst earns him CCC Player of the Week honors

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. –
Endicott sophomore guard Lachlan Magee (Melbourne, Australia) was named the CCC’s Player of the Week following a career game against Emmanuel back on December 13th in which he set personal bests in points and made field goals while tying his career-highs in made free throws, assists and steals.

Magee scored a game-high 34 points in Endicott’s 78-60 win over their GNAC rival Emmanuel in their last game in the 2011 portion of their schedule thanks to a stellar 11-of-17 (64.7%) from the floor.  The sophomore connected on three of his five attempts from beyond the three-point line and converted 9-of-11 free throw shots. 

His nine free throw makes tied his career-high, previous set in Endicott’s 2011-12 season opener against the College of Saint Joseph (Vt.) while his four assists and two steals also matched career-highs. 

The win over Emmanuel pushed the Gulls to a 5-3 overall record heading into winter break with a 1-1 mark in conference games.  The Blue and Green currently sit in a tie for third place in the CCC but along with Roger Williams, lead the league with five overall victories. 

Magee and the Gulls will back in action on Wednesday, January 4th at home against North Shore rival Salem State in a game with North Shore Cup standings implications.  Tip-off is at 7:00 pm at Endicott’s MacDonald Gymnasium.
