BEVERLY, Mass. — Endicott baseball student-athlete Rian Schwede (Whitman, Mass.) was named Commonwealth Coast Conference Pitcher and Rookie of the week, the league office announced earlier today. Both honors are the first of his career.
Meanwhile, last weekend, Schwede threw nine innings of shutout ball on Sunday (March 8) as Endicott defeated Bates, 7-0, in non-conference action. The first-year hurler scattered eight hits and walked none, while striking out three. He also sat down the Bobcats in order on three occasions.

Endicott (4-4) will host Saint Joseph's (Me.) on Tuesday, March 10 at 4 PM.
