Pittsley Signs with Ryde Eastwood Hawks

RYDE, Australia- Following in head coach Bryan Hayley's path, recent Endicott graduate Brendan Pittsley is heading to Ryde, Austrailia to play professional baseball for the Ryde Eastwood Hawks of the New South Wales Baseball League.  Coach Haley played in the league from 2000-2001 after he graduated from his collegiate playing days.

The Ryde Eastwood Hawks have a historic past and have long been one of the most competitive professional clubs in Australia.  The city of Ryde is located four miles outside the capital city of Sydney and is in the state of New South Wales.   In 2013, the Hawks won the New South Wales Baseball League championship.

Coach Haley is proud to see one of his players follow in his footsteps.  "My experience in Ryde was amazing," stated the coach.  "I'm happy to see that one of my players will be able to enjoy the same experience.  Brendan enjoyed a solid career at Endicott and had a fantastic senior year.  I know he will represent our program well in Australia and will make the most of his opportunity."  

Pittlsey finished the 2013 season with a 7-1 record and a sparkling 2.37 ERA in 57.0 IP.  He graduated second all time in batting average against over his career with .253 and is tied for eighth all time in wins with 15.
