(The goal of our Senior Send-Off articles is to highlight teams and student-athletes who did not get to finish their season of competition and/or have their respective Senior Day games/events happen. We also hope that these stories, which will feature some non-student-athletes, serve as a positive light to anyone who reads them during these trying times.)
BEVERLY, Mass. – If you have been to an Endicott Athletics home game/match over the last four years then you more than likely have seen our Gulls' super fan Conor McHugh cheering on our teams (on the left in the photo). "Burger" as he is known to many of our Gulls across campus, especially the men's volleyball program, also creates several hype videos on social media to support our student-athletes when games/matches aren't happening. This is our thank you to Burger, one of the most loyal, kindest, and positive people we have on campus. Burger, who is from Voorheesville, New York, will graduate with a bachelor's degree in sport management and a minor in business administration. Thank you for everything, Burger. You a perfect representation of what it means to be a Gull.
Here's how Burger impacted our men's volleyball program:
George Chapell '08, men's volleyball head coach
"My relationship with Conor was one of the more unexpected but rewarding relationships I've encountered. As others have said, he was a consistent presence at home matches as well as away matches, and always with a positive outlook. Whether it was a win or a loss, he had a way of keeping things in perspective. From his in-person support, to the hype videos, to going nuts in championship atmospheres, 'Burger' was definitely one of the guys."

"Conor (Burger) was the most devoted fan to Endicott Athletics during his time at The Nest and rarely missed the chance to support our teams. He became especially close with myself and many other members of the men's volleyball program and was one of the most loyal and kind-hearted people I had the pleasure of meeting in college. The thing I admire most about Burger is how he was able to make the most of his experience at Endicott. He never missed a chance to be with his friends or watch a sporting event. While Conor would have loved nothing more than to support a playoff push for the men's volleyball team and cheer on all the spring teams at Endicott this year, I am very confident that he will have no regrets when he looks back on his college experience."
