2021 NEWISA SENIOR BOWL RELEASE

BEVERLY, Mass. - Endicott women's soccer senior Hannah Lederman (Natick, Mass.) has been selected to the New England Women's Intercollegiate Soccer Association (NEWISA) Senior Bowl, as was announced by the organization earlier this week.

Lederman's selection follows a season in which she became the third student-athlete in program history to earn Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Defensive Player of the Year honors, joining Kadrianna Letts '20, and Caitlin Peters '13. The back, who also was named to the All-CCC First Team, anchored an Endicott defense that allowed a league-low four goals in nine CCC matches, for an average of .44 goals/game, and led the Gulls to a CCC semifinal appearance. The back line held opponents to 76 shots all year in conference play, as the Gulls out-shot their competition 160-76 while recording six shutouts against CCC competition. To add to her defensive numbers, the back also produced career-high numbers across the board offensively, finishing with one goal and three assists for five points. Lederman has started in all 48 matches she has played in throughout her career.

The NEWISA Senior Bowl brings together players from NCAA Division I, II and III colleges in New England for one final game following the conclusion of their last collegiate season. For the 2021 season, the NEWISA Senior Bowl Selections are honored with a news release announcing the teams and awards will be sent to selected players. However, NEWISA is unable to host a game this fall due to COVID restrictions and concerns. The 2021 NCAA Division III NEWISA Senior Bowl Selections features 29 players from colleges and universities across New England.

"The 2021 NEWISA Senior Bowl Selections are a highly accomplished and impactful group of student-athletes that have left their mark on collegiate soccer in New England," said NEWISA President Tom McGuinness. "On behalf of New England's soccer community, NEWISA thanks these players for their dedication and commitment to the game and congratulates them all on a successful college soccer career."
