CCC SEMIFINALS: Endicott Hosts Cross-Town Rival Gordon In Semifinal Matchup

BEVERLY, Mass. — The first-seeded Endicott women's soccer team (11-3-2) hosts fourth-seeded Gordon (13-3-1) today in the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) semifinals at 5 PM. Here's a preview of today's match.

FIVE THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW 

  • The Gulls fell to the Fighting Scots in OT, 1-0, during the regular season in their only conference loss this year (8-1 CCC). 
  • Endicott is 24-9-4 in the all-time series against Gordon.
  • The last time these two programs met in the postseason, the cross-town rivals dueled to a 1-1 draw in 2 OT. Hannah Lederman (Natick, Mass.) and Jaymie Caponigro (Swampscott, Mass.) converted on their respective attempts to move Endicott past Gordon 5-3 in penalties. 
  • Dating back to the 2013 CCC Championship match, Endicott edged Gordon 3-1 on PK's to secure the title bid.
  • The Blue and Green head into the match riding a six-match win streak and a 7-1-1 record at The Nest. 

WHAT'S NEXT 

The winner of Wednesday's match will advance to the CCC Championship on Saturday afternoon to be hosted at the higher remaining seeds.
