Women’s Soccer Blanks Salem State, 10-0

BEVERLY, Mass. — The Endicott women's soccer team shut out Salem State, 10-0, on Tuesday evening at Alumni Field.

Julia Matus (East Greenwich, R.I.) and Chloe Waldron (Harwinton, Conn.) both registered their first career hat tricks to lead the Gulls.

Endicott also saw Madeline Mucher (Andover, Mass.), Grace Jewett (Millis, Mass.), Kelsey Hunter (Simi Valley, Calif.), and Kayleigh McCabe (Westborough, Mass.) bury solo tallies in the win.

Rosalina Caliri (East Greenwich, R.I.) rounded out the list of highlights for the Gulls with two saves in her first career start.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

  • First career goals for Matus, McCabe, Waldron, and Hunter.
  • Megan Smith (Glastonbury, Conn.), Matus, Mucher, and Hunter also recorded their first career assists.
  • The Gulls improved to 10-7-6 all-time against Salem State.
  • Endicott's 10 goals scored tonight rank tied for fifth in a single game.
  • Twelve goals is the program record, which has occurred twice (Pine Manor, 10/7/97 | Anna Maria, 10/1/05).
  • Salem State is 1-5-0 at home this season.

WHAT'S NEXT

Endicott (5-2-2, 3-0-0 CCC) travels to crosstown rival Gordon College on Saturday at 3 PM. Salem State (1-8-0) hosts Fitchburg State this Saturday at 1 PM.
