WELLESLEY, Mass. - The Endicott women's soccer team came up just short against Babson on Tuesday evening, falling to the Beavers by a 1-0 final. The loss drops Endicott to 2-2-1 overall on the young campaign.

Despite holding a 3-1 advantage in shots on goal after the first half, the Gulls would find themselves down 1-0 after 45 minutes of play after Kate Ryan (Winchester, Mass.) flicked a Caitlin Trott (North Hampton, N.H.) cross over Endicott's Jacqueline Ruggiero (Hyde Park, Mass.) to give the home team the lead.

The Beavers would never relinquish the lead, despite Endicott applying more second-half pressure, eventually holding a 5-4 advantage in shots in the final 45 minutes of action. The two teams would total 10 shots on goal each, with Endicott holding a 5-2 advantage in shots on goal at the conclusion of the match.

  • Endicott's Morgan Hubert (Southington, Conn.) led all players with two shots on goal, finishing with three shots total.
  • Madeline Mucher (Andover, Mass.) finished with a match-high four shots, one of which was on frame.
  • Endicott is now 6-5-2 all-time against Babson, as the Gulls are now 2-1-2 in the last five against the Beavers.
