Women's Soccer Downs Nichols 3-0 To Wrap Up Regular Season Play

Hannah Lederman and Chloe Waldron embrace after a win.

DUDLEY, Mass. - The Endicott women's soccer team defeated Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) foe Nichols on Wednesday night 3-0 to close out regular season play. The Gulls, now 10-3-2 overall and 8-1-0 in CCC play, await the release of the CCC tournament pairings ahead of Saturday's quarterfinal round.

Endicott got the scoring underway early in the first, as Chloe Waldron (Harwinton, Conn.) scored her fourth of the season in the 15th minute to give the visitors the 1-0 edge.

Just over five minutes later, Riley Rischitelli (North Brookfield, Mass.) took a feed from Hannah Lederman (Natick, Mass.) and Madeline Mucher (Andover, Mass.) to beat the Nichols keeper to extend the lead to 2-0. The goal was Rischitelli's sixth of the season, which ties her for the team-lead, while Lederman's assist was her third of the season, which ties her for second on the roster.

After the Gulls kept pressuring, the visitors would add another tally in the 41st minute, when Lederman scored her first collegiate goal. The defender was able to collect the Julia Matus (East Greenwich, R.I.) feed and score, giving Matus her third assist of the season.
