BEVERLY, Mass. - Following a 2-0 week that consisted of two Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) victories, Jaymie Caponigro (Swampscott, Mass.) and Riley Rischitelli (North Brookfield, Mass.) have been named the CCC Offensive Player and Rookie of the Week, respectively. The honors were announced by the Conference office earlier this afternoon.

After totaling five points on two goals and an assist in Endicott's 3-0 shutout win over the University of New England, and 3-2 win over Western New England on Saturday, Caponigro earned her second CCC Offensive Player of the Week honor in 2021. The graduate student started the week assisting on the eventual game-winner against UNE during the week before capping the week with two goals on three shots in the team's 3-2 win over WNE. Caponigro now leads the Gulls in goals (6) and points (14), while she is tied for third on the team in assists (2).

Meanwhile, Rischitelli took home her first CCC Rookie of the Week honor after scoring and assisting on another in the team's 3-2 win over Western New England. The freshman assisted on Caponigro's second of the match before scoring the team's third goal of the match. The North Brookfield native now has 13 points, five goals and three assists on the season, all of which are second on the team.

WHAT'S NEXT

Caponigro, Rischitelli and the Gulls, who are currently 9-3-2 overall and 7-1-0 in CCC play, will wrap up the regular season on Wednesday with a trip to Dudley, Mass. to take on the Bison of Nichols. The match is slated to start at 3:00 PM.
