BEVERLY, Mass. The Endicott women's soccer team fell to visiting Lesley University by a final of 2-1 on Wednesday night. The game-winning strike came early in the second overtime period, and drops Endicott to 1-1-1 on the season, while Lesley improves to 5-2-1.

After a first half that saw the Gulls and Lynx play to a 0-0 draw after 45 minutes of action, the Gulls got on the board early in the second half, when Morgan Hubert (Southington, Conn.) buried the rebound off of a Chloe Waldron (Harwinton, Conn.) shot and save. Hubert's goal is the first of her career, while Waldron is credited with her fifth career assist.

The visitors would equalize in the 70th minute when Claire Hounslow (Westborough, Mass.) scored her third of the season, and 12th of her career, when she chased down a long clear, cut inside the Endicott defender, and fed it to the far post.

The two teams would be held off the scoreboard in the rest of the regulation, before also producing a scoreless first overtime period. Endicott would challenge in the first overtime, taking three shots, two of which were saved by the Lesley keeper, but neither of which would find the back of the net.

Lesley didn't waste any time in the second overtime, scoring 25 seconds in, when Macey Merlo (Clovis, Calif.) buried the rebound off of an Endicott save. The initial save was poked off the crossbar off a shot by Emily Winkel (St. Louis, Mo.). The goal served as Merlo's first of the season, while the assist was Winkel's first as well.
