Boncek, Braman, & Poulin Earn NFHCA All-Region Honors

NFHCA ALL-REGION RELEASE

BEVERLY, Mass. – Endicott student-athletes Claire Boncek (Hamden, Conn.), Blake Braman (Clinton, Conn.), and Sydney Poulin (Watertown, Mass.) have all earned National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) All-Region honors, as announced by the organization earlier today.

Poulin was named to the NFHCA All-Region I First Team, while Boncek and Braman claimed NFHCA All-Region I Second Team honors, respectively.

SYDNEY POULIN | MIDFIELDER | FIRST TEAM

In 21 games played this season, Poulin compiled 17 goals and two assists for 36 points.

The Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Offensive Player of the Year ranks second overall in the league in goals and points, and fifth in game-winning goals (3).

Meanwhile, in conference-only contests, Poulin was first in goals (7), and third in points (14), and game-winning goals (1).

Nationally, Poulin ranks No. 46 (out of 149) in goals per game (0.81) and No. 73 in points per game (1.71).

This is Poulin's third career NFHCA All-Region First Team honor. Poulin is the only student-athlete in program history to receive three NFHCA All-Region First Team accolades.

CLAIRE BONCEK | DEFENDER | SECOND TEAM

Boncek played a major role in Endicott leading the CCC in goals against average (1.51, No. 54 nationally) this season.

The CCC All-Conference First Team selection aided the Gulls in registering eight shutouts throughout the year, four of which came against conference opponents.

Individually, Boncek recorded a conference-best three defensive saves (3, No. 85 nationally) to go along with five goals (two game-winners) and one assist for 11 points in 21 games played.

This is Boncek's first career NFHCA All-Region honor.

BLAKE BRAMAN | MIDFIELDER | SECOND TEAM

In 21 games played this season, Braman tallied three goals and seven assists for 13 points.

Her seven assists rank third overall in the conference and No. 135 nationally (0.33 per game).

Braman's play in the midfield also helped Endicott rank second overall in the CCC in goals per game (3.1) and third in assists (30). In conference-only games, the Gulls ranked second in goals per game (4.3) and assists (12).

This is Braman's first NFHCA All-Region award as well.

YEAR IN REVIEW

Endicott went 14-7 overall and 5-1 in league play en route to capturing its third-straight CCC Championship with a 1-0 double overtime win over conference rival the University of New England (UNE) on Saturday, November 6.

From there, the Gulls defeated Vassar, 2-1, in the first round of the NCAA Tournament before falling to No. 1 nationally ranked and now four-time defending NCAA Division III champion Middlebury in the second round.
