Field Hockey Bests Salve Regina, 7-0

MIDDLETOWN, R.I. – The Endicott field hockey team defeated Salve Regina, 7-0, in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action on Saturday afternoon at Gaudet Field.

Endicott raced out to a 5-0 lead at the half and never looked back.

Sydney Poulin (Watertown, Mass.) highlighted the Gulls with her first career hat trick.

Claire Boncek (Hamden, Conn.) also added two goals to the ledger, while Blake Braman (Clinton, Conn.) and Olivia Lampasona (Watertown, Mass.) chipped in with one goal apiece.

BEYOND THE BOX  

  • The Gulls are 29-4 all-time versus Salve Regina.
  • Endicott has won nine straight against the Seahawks dating back to 9/23/2017.
  • The Gulls notched their 10th shutout in the all-time series (first since 9/19/2019).
  • Poulin registered her first multi-goal game of the season and sixth of her career today.
  • Allison Wales (Southport, Conn.) stopped one shot to record her second career shutout.

Endicott (4-3, 1-0 CCC) visits Springfield on Wednesday, September 29 at 7 PM. Salve Regina (6-2, 0-2 CCC) hosts WPI on Tuesday, September 28 at 6 PM.
