Field Hockey Stymies Nichols, 6-0

DUDLEY, Mass. —  The Endicott field hockey team defeated Nichols, 6-0, on Saturday afternoon at Vendetti Field.

The Gulls took a 4-0 lead into the half and never looked back.

Sydney Poulin (Watertown, Mass.) led the Gulls with two goals (fourth multi-goal game of the season), while Blake Braman (Clinton, Conn.) orchestrated the offense via a school record (tied) three assists. 

Endicott also received tallies from Claire Boncek (Hamden, Conn.), Olivia Lampasona (Watertown, Mass.), Meaghan Hogan (Cheshire, Conn.), and Meg Arnette (Merrimac, Mass.) in the win.

Meanwhile, Taylor Farrin (Danvers, Mass.), Allison Wales (Southport, Conn.), and Mackenzie Manning (Wrentham, Mass.) all saw action in the cage for the Gulls.

Farrin earned the win (7-5), while Wales (30:00) and Manning (15:00) each had one save.

BEYOND THE BOX 

  • Endicott is 24-4 in the all-time series against Nichols (13 straight wins since 2014).
  • During the Gulls' 13-game winning streak, Endicott has shut out Nichols seven times.
  • Manning made her collegiate debut today.
  • Poulin now leads the team in goals with 13 on the season (22 points total).

WHAT'S NEXT 

Endicott (9-5, 4-1 CCC) hosts No. 4 nationally ranked Babson on Tuesday, October 26 at 6 PM. Nichols (7-9, 0-5 CCC) travels to WPI on Wednesday, October 27 at 7 PM.
