Field Hockey Blanks Western New England, 3-0

BEVERLY, Mass. — The Endicott field hockey team shut out Western New England, 3-0, on Saturday afternoon at North Field. 

Tied 0-0 after the first period, the Gulls scored one goal in each of the three remaining periods to secure the victory. 

Kathleen Reissfelder (Westwood, Mass.), Blake Braman (Clinton, Conn.), and Olivia Lampasona (Watertown, Mass.) all found the back of the cage in the win, in respective order.

Meanwhile, Taylor Farrin (Danvers, Mass.) collected 10 saves to notch her 22nd career shutout (5-3).

BEYOND THE BOX 

  • Endicott is 23-6 in the all-time series against Western New England.
  • Reissfelder scored the second goal of her collegiate career in the matchup.
  • Jenna Seibold (Reading, Mass.), who was credited with a helper on Braman's goal, is now tied for first place on the team in assists (3). 
  • Farrin ranks second all-time in career shutouts.

WHAT'S NEXT 

The Gulls (7-3, 3-0 CCC) are set to host Worcester State (9-3) on Thursday, October 14 at 6 PM. Western New England (6-4, 2-2 CCC) will travel to Smith (4-8) on Wednesday, October 13 at 6 PM.
