Field Hockey Takes Care Of Southern Maine, 4-1

BEVERLY, Mass. — The Endicott field hockey team defeated Southern Maine, 4-1, on Thursday night at North Field.

Meaghan Hogan (Cheshire, Conn.)Sydney Poulin (Watertown, Mass.)Jennifer Beardsley (Essex, Mass.), and Olivia Lampasona (Watertown, Mass.) all found the back of the cage in the win (7:12 | 35:01 | 42:53 | 52:04).

Meanwhile, Taylor Farrin (Danvers, Mass.) collected two saves in the victory to move her record to 8-6 on the season.

The Gulls outshot Southern Maine 45-5 in the contest and compiled a 12-3 differential in penalty corners.

BEYOND THE BOX 

  • Endicott is 1-0 in the all-time series against Southern Maine.
  • Beardsley recorded her first career goal as a Gull in the matchup.
  • Lampasona ranks second on the team with 11 goals scored this season.

WHAT'S NEXT 

Endicott (10-6, 4-1 CCC) hosts its regular-season finale versus Roger Williams (8-7, 2-3 CCC) at The Nest on Saturday, October 30 at 1 PM in honor of Senior Day. 

Southern Maine's (12-8) season comes to a close after its match with Endicott.
