QUINCY, MA - Endicott dropped the first two games, but rallied to beat Eastern Nazarene, 3-2, Wednesday night in a CCC match. The Crusaders won the first two games 30-28 and 30-25 before the Gulls stormed back to win three straight (30-23, 30-25, 15-8).
Freshman middle hitter Hayley Janelle (Madbury, NH/Oyster River) had a team-high 19 kills to go along with seven blocks for Endicott, which evened its record at 8-8 (2-1 CCC). Junior middle hitter Sara Moore (Guilford, CT/Guilford) added 16 kills and three blocks while senior outside hitter Killeen Ross (Ballston Lake, NY/Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake) chipped in 14 kills and 20 digs.
Freshman libero Brittany Nolan (Monroe, CT/Masuk) led the team with 35 digs, while sophomore setter Meghan Hall (Santa Cruz, CA/Aptos) recorded a double-double (47 assists, 16 digs) and senior Patty Mikan (Shelton, CT/ St. Joseph's) served up a team high eight aces.
Endicott returns to action Saturday at UNE with Anna Maria.
