PLYMOUTH, NH -- Plymouth State senior Becky Ciulla (Chelmsford, Mass.) led the Panthers past Endicott, 3-1, Tuesday night in a non-conference match at Foley Gym.
Ciulla registered a team-high 21 kills, 13 digs and five blocks as the teams split the first two games - Plymouth won the first game 32-30 and Endicott came back with a 30-26 triumph - before the Panthers won the last two games, 30-27 and 30-16.
The Gulls (7-4, 1-1 CCC) stormed back from 10 points down to tie the third game at 25 but Plymouth put the finishing touches on the game and the match to improve to 6-3 overall.
Senior outside hitter Killeen Ross (Ballston Lake, NY/Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake) had 13 kills and 10 digs while senior outside hitter Patty Mikan (Shelton, CT/St. Joseph's) led the team in digs with 10.
Freshman middle hitter Shelly Ortelt (Middleboro, MA/Middleboro) led the Gulls with five blocks and sophomore middle hitter Beth Dow (Pocasset, MA/Bourne) added eight kills.
Sophomore setter Meghan Hall (Santa Cruz, CA/Aptos) handed out 43 assists and dug up 18 balls for Endicott, which competes next in the MIT Invitational on Friday night versus Colby College (6:00 p.m.) and either Skidmore or Smith at 8:00 p.m.
