2020 Women’s Track & Field Season Preview

BEVERLY, Mass. — The Endicott women's track and field team will open up its 2020 season on Friday, February 14 at the David Hemery Valentine Invite, hosted by Boston University (BU). Here's a look at the upcoming season.

"We are very excited to debut year three at BU. This is a national-caliber meet and provides a great experience for our student-athletes," said Endicott women's track and field head coach Spencer Lange. "It has been very special to see this team take its shape over the past few years, knowing we are still young and establishing ourselves as we learn and grow. Their attitude has been very positive and unwavering in the chances they have taken. The confidence and leadership they have built together will allow them to maximize every opportunity along the way. We could not be more excited to continue the hard work and elevate each other while enjoying the process this season."

FIVE THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW

  • Endicott's roster features 36 student-athletes from seven different U.S. states and three other countries (Canada, China, England).

  • Last season, Endicott also saw Coach Lange earn CCC Coach of the Year honors, the program claim the CCC Team Sportsmanship Award for the second straight season, a program record 16 student-athletes receive CCC Academic All-Conference honors, and, finally, the program garner a U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic Team Award.
  • The Gulls will compete in six meets this season that are less than 50 miles away from campus. Those meets are as follows: David Hemery Valentine Invite (2/14), Snowflake Classic (3/28), Regis Spring Classic (4/3), CCC Championship (Gordon College, 4/25), NCAA Division III New England Regionals (4/30, 5/1, 5/2), and MIT's Last Chance Meet (5/14).
