Gulls to Host Gordon in TCCC Opening Round on Tuesday

BEVERLY, MA - The Endicott College women's tennis team will host Gordon College on Tuesday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. in the opening round of The Commonwealth Coast Conference women's tennis tournament.

Roger Williams University has claimed the top seed for The Commonwealth Coast Conference (TCCC) women's tennis championship, which begins with quarterfinal matchups on campus sites Tuesday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. The Hawks (11-1 overall) earned the top spot in the upcoming TCCC tournament after posting a perfect 10-0 record in conference play.

RWU will host eighth-seeded Curry College (3-11 overall, 3-7 TCCC) in Bristol, R.I. Roger Williams claimed a 9-0 victory in the teams' regular-season match-up on September 25.

Endicott College (12-4 overall) and Colby-Sawyer College (12-3 overall) finished with identical 8-2 conference records. Endicott has earned the \#2 seed by virtue of a 6-3 victory when the teams met on September 25. The second-seeded Gulls will host seventh-seeded Gordon College (4-7, 4-6) in Beverly, Mass. During the regular-season, Endicott claimed a 7-2 win over Gordon on October 3.

The third-seeded Colby-Sawyer Chargers will entertain sixth-seeded Nichols College (9-6, 5-5) in New London, N.H. Colby-Sawyer was a 7-1 victor over Nichols in the squads' regular-season meeting on October 3.

Western New England College (10-4, 7-3) and Salve Regina University (7-4, 7-3) also finished with identical TCCC records, but the Golden Bears' 8-1 victory over SRU on September 13 proved to be the tiebreaker for the fourth seed. The teams will meet in Springfield, Mass. on the WNEC campus.

Quarterfinal winners will meet in semifinal-round action on Wednesday, October 24 at 2:00 p.m. The higher seed will host each match.

Semifinal winners will square off for the conference championship on Saturday, October 27 at 1:00 p.m. at the site of the higher seed.
