BEVERLY, MA - The Endicott College women's tennis team closed out its regular season with a 9-0 sweep of The Commonwealth Coast Conference opponent Eastern Nazarene College on Saturday afternoon on the South Campus Courts.

The Gulls started the day off with a trio of impressive wins from Lori Wardner (Wrentham, MA/King Philip), Kate Fiske (Westerly, RI/Westerly) and Jenna Carme (Greenfield, MA/Greenfield) at the top three singles spots. Wardner beat Rachel Bridges (Hollis, NH/Hollis-Brookline) 6-2 and 6-4 while Fiske topped Allison Cammarata (Marion, MA/Bishop Stang) 6-2 and 6-2. Carme bested Jill Farester (Hagerstown, MD/South Hagerstown) 7-6, 6-0 at the third singles spot.

Alyson Boehm (Lowell, MA/Lowell), Rachel Layton (Falmouth, ME/Falmouth) and Christine Lavin (Middletown, RI/Middletown) also picked up wins in their singles matches giving Endicott an insurmountable lead going into doubles play.

The duo of Fiske and Carme won over Farester and Amy Casey (Hamden, MA/Minnechaug) 8-1 to improve their record as doubles partners to 10-4 overall and 7-2 overall. Wardner and Elise Pecci (Stoneham, MA/Stoneham) also teamed up to take second doubles 8-4, while Boehm and Layton took third doubles 8-2 to complete the sweep for EC.

The win improves Endicott to 12-4 overall and 8-2 in The Commonwealth Coast Conference. The loss drops ENC to 6-9 overall and 2-8 in TCCC play. The Blue and Green return to action on Tuesday with the first round of the conference tournament, no opponent or site has yet been determined for the third place Gulls.
