SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Junior Caroline Armbruster (Stowe, Vt.) was named Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Defensive Player of the Week for her play in the team's 1-0-1 week that improved the team's record to 9-1-2 (4-1-0 CCC) on the season.
Armbruster earned the distinction after recording two shutouts on the week, the first of which came in a double overtime affair against Eastern Connecticut in the 0-0 draw. In that match against the Warriors, Armbruster saved nine shots, two shy of her career best effort. She followed that performance up with her fourth shutout of the season and ninth of her career in the team's 1-0 win over Salve Regina.
