Gulls Claim 2-1 Victory Over Springfield in 2OT Thriller

BEVERLY, Mass. – Behind junior Brady Sezon's (Easton, Conn.) second career goal, the Endicott women's soccer team knocked off visiting Springfield 2-1 in double overtime. With the win, Endicott improves to 6-0-1 (2-0-0 CCC) on the season while Springfield falls to 3-2-1 (0-0-1 NEWMAC).

Sezon was able to gather a rebound from Sharlotte Pernice (West Springfield, Mass.) in the 109th minute and buried her one timer passed the Springfield keeper to the lower left corner to give the Gulls the golden goal win.

The Gulls went behind midway through the first half as Kim Quiles (Poughkeepsie, N.Y.) made a run down the left sideline and spun to put her shot on frame and scored her second of the season. Despite out-shooting Endicott 10-1 in the first half, that lone goal is all the offense the Pride would muster for the entire match.

Pernice's assist on the game winner came just over 40 minutes after she had scored herself, heading a Larissa Cade (Middlefield, Conn.) corner just inside the far post for her fourth goal of the season. Her header came in the 69th minute as the Gulls held an 8-5 advantage in corners for the match.
