BEVERLY, Mass. – Behind junior Brady Sezon's (Easton, Conn.) second career goal, the Endicott women's soccer team knocked off visiting Springfield 2-1 in double overtime. With the win, Endicott improves to 6-0-1 (2-0-0 CCC) on the season while Springfield falls to 3-2-1 (0-0-1 NEWMAC).

Sezon was able to gather a rebound from Sharlotte Pernice (West Springfield, Mass.) in the 109^th minute and buried her one timer passed the Springfield keeper to the lower left corner to give the Gulls the golden goal win.

The Gulls went behind midway through the first half as Kim Quiles (Poughkeepsie, N.Y.) made a run down the left sideline and spun to put her shot on frame and scored her second of the season. Despite out-shooting Endicott 10-1 in the first half, that lone goal is all the offense the Pride would muster for the entire match.

Pernice's assist on the game winner came just over 40 minutes after she had scored herself, heading a Larissa Cade (Middlefield, Conn.) corner just inside the far post for her fourth goal of the season. Her header came in the 69^th minute as the Gulls held an 8-5 advantage in corners for the match.

BEYOND THE BOX

• Pernice now leads the team in points with 12 on the season and assists with four. Her 12 points is good for third in the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) while her four assists have her tied for the league lead.
• Sezon now has two goals for her career, both of which have come against the Pride of Springfield. In 2015, Sezon scored in the 85^th minute of the team's 2-1 loss to Springfield.
• Cade's assist off of her corner kick in the 69^th minute was her third assist of the season, which now gives her nine points to date which is tied for sixth in the conference overall and is good for third for the Gulls.
• With Sezon's goal, 11 Gulls have now scored at least one goal through seven matches, which ties the amount of goal scorers through 20 matches in 2015.
• Defending CCC Defensive Player of the Week Caroline Armbruster (Stowe, Vt.) improved to 6-0-0 on the season as she made five saves on the night.

FOR THE FOES

• Quiles' goal, her second, ties her with teammate Elizabeth Monsen (Wayne, N.J.) for the team lead. The two are also tied for the team lead in points with four.
• Mikaela Cody (Middletown, Conn.) registered three shots on the night as the Pride out-shot the Gulls 16-9 for the match.
• Keeper Ciara Boucher (Manchester, Conn.) made three saves in the setback.

Endicott remains home to host CCC rival Roger Williams on Saturday at 4:30 p.m. The match is part of Endicott's Homecoming & Family Weekend that sees all teams compete in Beverly, Mass. throughout the weekend. Springfield is also home on Saturday as they play host to NEWMAC foe MIT at 2:30 p.m.
