CCC QUARTERFINALS: No. 3 Endicott Hosts No. 6 Curry On Tuesday (7:30 PM)

BEVERLY, Mass. — The third-seeded Endicott women's basketball program (14-4) will host No. 6 seed Curry (8-10) this Tuesday at 7:30 PM in the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Tournament quarterfinal round at MacDonald Gymnasium.

THE MATCHUP/SERIES HISTORY: Endicott is 26-7 in the all-time series against Curry and 6-4 in the last 10 meetings versus the Colonels. The Gulls also swept the regular season series this year by scores of 69-63 (1/27/18) and 58-52 (12/2/17).

SCOUTING ENDICOTT: The Gulls are 8-5 at home this season and have won eight straight games dating back to January 24, 2018. Endicott's eight-game winning streak is tied for the program's longest winning streak since the 2010-11 season (8 games, 1/6/11 - 1/29/11).

As a team, Endicott ranks among the CCC's best in the following categories: points per game (3rd, 63.6), field goal percentage (1st, 41.1), three-point field goals made (4th, 135), three-point field goal percentage (1st, 32.2), free throws made (10th, 239), free throw percentage (3rd, 71.1), rebounds per game (10th, 36.0), assists per game (2nd, 14.3), steals per game (3rd, 8.3), blocks per game (2nd, 5.9), and fewest points allowed per game (4th, 57.3).

Individually, the Gulls feature three student-athletes in the top-15 for scoring included Emily Pratt (Gardner, Mass.), Hannah Kiernan (Wenham, Mass.), and Cassandra Stapelfeld (Brookline, N.H.). Pratt ranks No. 8 at 12.0 points per game, while Kiernan is No. 12 (10.8) and Stapelfeld is positioned 14th overall (10.6). Meanwhile, senior guard Gabriella Coppola (Watertown, Mass.) is No. 2 in the CCC in assists per game at 4.4.

SCOUTING CURRY: The Colonels are 5-6 on the road this season and 3-7 in their last 10 matchups.

Among all CCC teams, Curry ranks in a variety of spots in the following categories: points per game (8th, 52.6), field goal percentage (10th, 30.5), three-point field goals made (9th, 105), three-point field goal percentage (10th, 21.9), free throws made (3rd, 293), free throw percentage (10th, 59.8), rebounds per game (5th, 39.4), assists per game (9th, 11.9), steals per game (1st, 13.7), blocks per game (7th, 2.2), and fewest points allowed per game (2nd, 54.5).

Individually, the Colonels have two student-athletes ranked inside the top-15 in scoring in Emily Irwin (Billerica, Mass.) and Molly Plunkett (Quincy, Mass.). Irwin leads the CCC at 18.2 points per game, while Plunkett is No. 15 at 10.2 points per game. Irwin also ranks first in the conference in free throws made (150), assists (114), assists per game (4.6), steals (139), and steals per game (5.6).
