Crough, Ferland and White Named to All-CCC Team
2012 All-CC Team Release

Talk about Endicott women's basketball on Twitter:

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Three sophomores from the Endicott women’s basketball team have been selected to the All Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) team, announced this afternoon by league commissioner Gregg M. Kaye. Forwards Samantha Crough (Cohasset, Mass.), Jordan Ferland (Charlestown, N.H.) and Jennifer White (Lisbon, N.H.) were each named to the All-Conference team for the first time in their Endicott careers.

Voting for the All-CCC Team was conducted by the league's head coaches and was based off a player's performance over the entire season, not just against conference opponents.

Crough was tabbed as a Second Team All-CCC selection, while Ferland and White were each named to the Honorable Mention team.
Crough was the only women’s basketball player to be honored as CCC Player of the Week during the 2011-12 season. She led the Gulls in scoring, averaging 13.0 points per game, which is good for 7th in the CCC. Crough shot 38.8% from the field, while averaging 6.1 rebounds and 1.2 blocked shots per game. Crough logged over 32 minutes per game, putting her among the leaders in the conference in time on the court.

Crough posted the top two offensive nights of the year for Endicott, scoring 26 points on December 8th against Emerson and 23 points on January 14th vs Curry. Crough also blocked five shots in a game against Salem State, the highest single game total of the 2012 campaign.

White ranks in the top 15 of the CCC in 8 statistical categories, including 2nd overall in three-point shooting percentage (.364) and fourth in the conference in defensive rebounds per game (6.1). White is averaging 10.4 points per game, good for second on the Endicott roster, and leads the team with a 7.8 rebounding average. She has shot .381 from the field and found the chance to dish over two assists per game. Her solid shooting has continued at the free-throw line, where she has shot .733, good for ninth in the conference and second on the Gulls.

Second in the CCC, Ferland has averaged 1.6 blocks per game for the Gulls, who as a team rank 29th in the country in blocks per game, with 5.0. Ferland finds herself in the top-25 in conference scoring, averaging 8.6 points per game, while also grabbing over 5.0 rebounds a game. The sophomore forward shot .357 from the field and scored in double-digits fourteen times, with a season-high 19 points against Nichols on 2/2. Ferland registered four blocks in a game on three occasions.

This marks the third year in a row that Endicott has had three or more players named to the All Conference team. The Gulls have had at least one player tabbed for conference honors since the 2002-03 season, coinciding with Endicott’s streak of winning records.

The Gulls are the \#4 seed in the CCC tournament and will host \#5 Roger Williams tonight in a quarterfinal matchup at 6:00 pm. Endicott is looking to return to the CCC finals for the first time since 2009 and win their first CCC crown in program history. The Gulls and Hawks split this year’s season series, with each team winning on their home court.
