CCC announces men's and women's basketball tournament seeding information
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - The Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Tournament will begin on Tuesday, February 21st with quarterfinal play and both the Endicott men's and women's basketball teams will be hosting an opening round game.  All games at MacDonald Gymnasium will be available via live stats and webcast.

League commissioner Gregg M. Kaye, following the results of today's final regular season contests, released seeding information for next week's tournament.  Please see below for tournament seeding as well as game dates, times, and locations.

Women's Basketball

After posting a 15-10 overall record with a 12-6 mark in CCC games, the Gulls women's basketball team earned the \#4 seed in the playoffs and will host \#5 Roger Williams on Tuesday, February 21st at 6:00 pm.  Endicott and Roger Williams split their two regular season meetings with the Gulls claiming a 57-49 victory back on December 3rd and the Hawks exacting some revenge three weeks ago by winning 56-46.  Both teams won on their home court.

Below is the official seeding and schedule of the 2012 CCC Women's Basketball Tournament.  The only tiebreaker situation occurred between Endicott and Western New England who shared the same conference record and split their two games this year.  Both schools lost twice to top seed University of New England, but because the Golden Bears went 2-0 over \#2 Salve Regina and the Gulls lost one game to the Seahawks,  Western New England earned the higher seed.

Men's Basketball

The Gulls won five games in-a-row to end the regular season and with a 17-8 (12-6 CCC) record and will play as the \#3 seed in the tournament.  Endicott will also host Roger Williams, the \#6 seed, on Tuesday, February 21st at 8:00 pm.  Endicott and Roger Williams split their games this season as the women's teams did, each win coming on the home court.  The Gulls won by nine over the Hawks in Beverly in December before falling by seven in Bristol in late January.

Endicott had a shot at the \#2 seed over Wentworth, but because the Gulls had an 0-2 record against \#1 Salve Regina and the Leopards earned one win over the Seahawks, the tiebreaker went to Wentworth.  Below is a complete schedule of the 2012 CCC Men's Basketball Tournament.
