BOSTON, Mass. – Sophomore forward Jennifer White (Lisbon, N.H.) scored 12 of her game-high 14 points in the second half as the Endicott women's basketball team secured a 54-36 win over Wentworth Institute of Technology in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) play. Endicott held the Leopards to 11.5 percent shooting from the floor and just sixteen points in the second half.

The Gulls jumped out to an early 7-0 lead behind a 3-pointer from senior guard Nicole Heffernan (Londonderry, N.H.) and baskets from sophomore forward Samantha Crough (Cohasset, Mass.) and sophomore guard Sarah Robinson (Norwich, Vt.).

A 3-pointer from sophomore guard Danielle Miranda (Westbrook, Maine) cut the lead to 7-4, but Endicott would build a nine-point lead on two occasions, including when freshman guard Katelyn Wright (Sudbury, Mass.) drained a shot from behind the arc with 6:13 left in the half. However, the Leopards outscored the Gulls by a 9-2 margin over the final 6:13 of the half and trailed by just two (22-20) heading into the locker room.

Leopard sophomore guard Paige Newcomb (Topsfield, Mass.) hit a jumper on Wentworth's opening possession of the second half to tie the game at 22-all. After sophomore forward Jordan Ferland (Charlestown, N.H.) hit two free throws to give the Gulls a two-point lead, Wentworth sophomore forward Ashley Stowe (Voluntown, Conn.) tied the game with two free throws of her own.

Endicott built its lead back to five before Newcomb and Conway hit four straight from the charity stripe to cut the lead to one at 30-29 with 13:26 left. However, the Gulls outscored the hosts by a 13-0 margin over the next 10:09 and upped their lead to 14. After Wentworth scored the next five points to trim the lead to nine, Endicott distanced itself from the Leopards with seven straight points.

White also added nine rebounds in the win and Ferland and Crough each scored 10 points. Heffernan had six points, 10 rebounds, and nine assists.

Stowe paced the Leopards with 11 points, nine rebounds, and three steals, while Miranda added 10 points,

With the win Endicott improves to 11-7 overall and 8-3 in CCC play. The Gulls host Nichols on Thursday night at 8:00 pm at MacDonald Gymnasium. Wentworth falls to 1-18 (1-11) and is at Western New England, also on Thursday.
