HENNIKER, NH - Endicott College led from pillar to post to extend its winning streak to five games with a 73-53 victory over host New England College Thursday night in Commonwealth Coast Conference action.
The Gulls jumped out to an early 6-0 lead and never looked back, leading by as many as 12 points with just over five minutes remaining in the first half and stretching the lead to as many as 20 points heading into halftime.
Endicott improved to 10-6 overall and 7-1 in the CCC while NEC dropped to 10-6 (3-5 CCC). Senior guard Jodi Brown (Coventry, RI/Coventry) lead the way for the visitors finishing with a game-high 15 points while sophomore forward Sara Doherty (Somerville, MA/Arlington Catholic) contributed 13 points and senior guard Liz Yuneman (Middle Village, NY/St. Francis Prep) chipped in 12 points.
Leading the way for NEC was Meredith Waldie (Methuen, MA), who finished with a team-high 12 points. Pilgrim Laura Bishop (Brunswick, ME) would contribute nine points and five rebounds.
NEC is back in action next Tuesday hosting CCC opponent Anna Maria College. Endicott will travel to Regis College Saturday at 1:00pm.
