BEVERLY, MA - Senior guard Liz Yuneman (Middle Village, NY/St. Francis Prep) drained four three-pointers and put home 16 points, leading Endicott College to an 85-62 victory over Anna Maria College in Commonwealth Coast Conference play Saturday afternoon.
Sophomore guard Aubrey Drugan (Salem, NH/Bishop Guertin) sank 14 points on 5-of-9 shooting and had two assists for the Gulls, who improved to 8-6 (5-1 CCC) while AMC fell to 3-11 (1-9 CCC).
Endicott owned an eight-point halftime lead that the Amcats whittled down to four points six minutes into second half. However, the hosts closed the game on a 28-10 run.
The run was keyed by freshman forward Nicole Duchesne (Plaistow, NH/Central Catholic). Ducesne netted all of her eight points in that span, which included two treys.
Freshman forward Nicole Young (Rockland, MA/Cardinal Spellman) was 6-of-7 from the floor, scoring 13 points to go along with 13 rebounds and three blocks for the Gulls. Junior guard Carly Haynes (Laconia, NH/Laconia) added 12 points and four steals and senior guard Jodi Brown (Coventry, RI/Coventry) dropped in eight points, six assists, four steals and six rebounds.
Endicott will host the University of New England Tuesday night at 6:00 PM.
