Final Stats

BEVERLY, MA - Endicott College gave Brandeis University, which is ranked second in the country in the latest D3hoops.com poll, all it could handle Tuesday night at MacDonald Gymnasium. But the visitors shot 42 percent to remain unbeaten with a 60-41 victory over the Gulls.

Brandeis (7-0) never trailed in the game and was triggered by junior forward Caitlin Malcolm (Windsor Locks, CT/Windsor Locks) and senior forward Christine Clancy (Yarmouth, ME/Yarmouth). Malcolm's 13 points and nine rebounds led the Judges while Clancy put home 12 points, had two blocks and grabbed five boards in the win.

The Gulls trailed by 10 at intermission but went on a 6-0 run minutes into the second half to get within three points. However, the Judges were simply too strong inside and never relinquished the lead. Endicott shot 33 percent in the game but was out-rebounded 39-26.

Senior guard Jodi Brown (Coventry, RI/Coventry) led all scorers with 14 points to go along with five steals and five rebounds for Endicott. Senior guard Liz Yuneman (Middle Village, NY/St. Francis Prep) added nine points and three rebounds while junior Paris Sanders (Needham, MA/Minuteman Technical) chipped in valuable minutes off the bench, recording two points, three rebounds, two assists and two blocks.

The Gulls (4-4) got four points apiece from Sara Doherty (Somerville, MA/Arlington Catholic), Nicole Duchesne (Plaistow, NH/Central Catholic) and Nicole Young (Rockland, MA/Cardinal Spellman).

Senior guard Amanda DeMartino (Toms River, NJ/Rumson-Fair Haven Regional) dished out a game-high nine assists to accompany four points and four rebounds while locals Lauren Orlando (Peabody, MA/Peabody) and Courtney Tremblay (Peabody, MA/Salem) sparked the Brandeis bench. Orlando had seven points and three rebounds while Tremblay added five points and an assist.

Endicott is back in action Saturday at home versus conference rival Colby-Sawyer College (1:00 PM) while the Judges battle Carnegie Mellon in Waltham Saturday (3:00 PM).
