FEASTERVILLE, Pa. — For the second time in program history, the Endicott roller hockey team captured the Eastern College Roller Hockey Association (ECRHA) Division III Regional Championship behind a 4-1 record in tournament play this weekend.
The Gulls defeated Syracuse (8-1), beat Temple on two separate occasions (6-5, 8-4), and avenged a 9-6 loss to Cortland from earlier in the tournament with a gritty 6-5 triumph in the championship game to secure the title.
Meanwhile, Endicott’s first-ever ECRHA Regional Championship occurred during the Gulls’ national championship run in 2018-19. Endicott also went 4-1 in regional play in 2018-19 before rattling off seven straight victories at nationals to claim the first-ever national title in athletics history.
