Endicott College COVID-19 Policy Updates

Endicott College COVID-19 Policy Updates
Dear Endicott College Community,

It is hard to believe that our 2021-22 academic year begins tomorrow. As we make final preparations for the arrival and full operation of the College, we have some updates to our COVID-19 policies.

While our high vaccination rate positions the Endicott community well over the threshold for herd immunity, we acknowledge there are situations where our population will be interacting with large numbers of the general public on our campus.

Effective immediately, all large-scale indoor events hosted on campus that are open to the public will require all attendees to wear a mask—regardless of vaccination status. The mask mandate extends to all attendees—including students, faculty, staff, and guests.

Events that fall into this category include.
  • All indoor athletic competitions that allow spectators. Only those vaccinated student-athletes on the court during competition will be exempt from wearing masks.
  • Indoor concerts, performances, and gallery shows. Vaccinated performers may be exempt from wearing masks.
  • Admission events taking place partially or entirely indoors, including tours, Open House, etc.
  • Lectures and events with external guests
  • Homecoming & Family Weekend
  • La Chanterelle, prior to seating
  • Candidates for open positions interviewing on campus
If you are planning an event that falls into these categories, please inform guests of the new policy.

Per the Student Handbook, guests are allowed in the residence halls beginning on September 13; however, all residence hall guests from outside of the Endicott community will be required to check-in with Public Safety and should wear a mask at all times, regardless of vaccination status.

We will continue to follow the guidance of health officials and will review this policy throughout the semester. Any updates will be communicated to the community.

The College is excited to offer a safe learning environment for students and employees this year.

Sincerely,

Steven R. DiSalvo, Ph.D.
President
