Men’s Volleyball Defeats Russell Sage In Conference Opener, 3-0

ALBANY, N.Y. — The Endicott men's volleyball team posted a straight-sets victory over Russell Sage College on Friday night by scores of 25-15, 25-12, and 25-23 at the Kahl Campus Center.

Aidan Iacovelli (South Windsor, Conn.) led the way for the Gulls with a match-high 10 kills (.562).

Dean Warner (Kinderhook, N.Y.) and Jake Laborde (Brookline, N.H.) chipped in with six putaways apiece.

Logan Pohl (Longmeadow, Mass.) also contributed three kills (.600), two assists, three service aces, and one solo block to the victory.

Gavin Emenaker (Newton, Mass.) posted a team-high 14 assists to aid Endicott in registering a season-best .400 hitting percentage (36K-10E-65TA).

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

  • Endicott is 5-0 all-time against the Gators.
  • The Gulls have won all five matches in straight sets.
  • Tonight's match marked the first-ever New England Volleyball Conference (NEVC) contest in Endicott men's volleyball program history.
  • Set two featured a season-best .609 hitting percentage (15K-1E-23TA).
  • The previous season-high came against MIT on 2/17 (set 3, .545, 14K-2E-22TA).

Endicott (7-7, 1-0 NEVC) visits Bard tomorrow at 11 AM. Russell Sage (4-10, 0-2 NEVC) hosts Eastern Nazarene and MIT tomorrow at 12/2 PM.
