No. 6 Vassar Tops Men’s Volleyball, 3-0

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. — The Endicott men's volleyball team fell to No. 6 nationally ranked Vassar, 3-0, on Saturday night by scores of 22-25, 16-25, and 14-25 on the final day of the Hall of Fame Invitational, hosted by Springfield College at Blake Arena.

Aidan Iacovelli (South Windsor, Conn.) once again led the Gulls with 11 kills.

Dean Warner (Kinderhook, N.Y.) also compiled 10 kills and a team-high seven digs in the setback.

Jake Laborde (Brookline, N.H.) and Logan Pohl (Longmeadow, Mass.) rounded out the offensive contributions with five and four (.667) putaways, respectively. 

Gavin Emenaker (Newton, Mass.) facilitated the offense via 28 assists. 

Tonight's match featured nine ties (5-1-3) and one lead change (1-0-0).

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

  • Today's match was the first meeting between the two programs since 1/25/2020.
  • Iacovelli was named to the Hall of Fame Invitational All-Tournament Team.
  • Vassar has won the last four matchups against the Gulls.
  • The Brewers have claimed marquee wins against No. 14 Santa Cruz and No. 15 Messiah this season.

Endicott (4-4) visits Regis on Tuesday, February 6 at 7:30 PM. No. 6 Vassar (7-2) hosts Ramapo on Saturday, February 10 at 11 AM.
