Endicott dominant in 3-0 NECC win over Regis

WESTON, Mass. – The Endicott men's volleyball hit .306 as a team in a 3-0 (25-8, 25-12, 25-15) victory over NECC opponent Regis and in the process moved their 2013 record above.500 for the first time this season while remaining unbeaten in conference play.

The Gulls are now 4-3 (2-0 NECC) and will move on to the MIT Invitational where Endicott will match up against non-conference teams Johnson & Wales (R.I.), Emerson, #10 Rivier, and Lasell over the course of the weekend tournament Saturday and Sunday.

Endicott saw junior middles Travis Netherton (Waukegan, Ill.) and Mike Coniglione (Glenville, N.Y.) tie for a match-high seven kills while freshman setter Tyler Bacon (Cypress, Calif.) found 11 different Gulls attackers for a total of 29 assists.  Netheron led the Gulls with a .600 hitting percentage as the junior struck just one error on 10 attempts.  Bacon, along with his setting numbers, added four of Endicott's 12 team service aces, while Coniglione assisted on three blocks at the net. 

Defensively, junior libero Aaron Jessee (Okinawa, Japan) and junior right side Josh Anderson (La Canada, Calif.) each had a team-high five digs with sophomore Kristian Catalan (Sudbury, Mass.) chipping in with four in one set of play. 

Three players added three kills apiece including freshman outside John Osborne (Freehold, N.J.) who had all three of his kills on six attempts with zero errors in the first set.  Junior Brandon Chadwick (Chelmsford, Mass.) and sophomore Billy Mullen (Weymouth, Mass.) also had three kills, respectively.
