BRISTOL, R.I. — The Endicott men's tennis team fell to Roger Williams (RWU), 6-1, on Wednesday afternoon in a Conference of New England (CNE) clash.
The Hawks took the opening doubles point after sweeping all flights. The Gulls No. 2 pairing of Conrad Kadel (Heidelberg, Germany) / Antonio Marsallo (Baldwinsville, N.Y.) battled to a 7-6(5) defeat.
Meanwhile, Kadel generated a gritty victory as Endicott's top singles player (6-1, 6-7 (6-8), 10-8) to put the Blue and Green on the scoreboard.
BEYOND THE BOX
- Kadel captured his fourth triumph in the No. 1 slot.
- Last season, these two squads squared off in the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Semifinals.
- The Gulls took the emphatic 5-4 victory to advance to their first Championship appearance in program history.
