2013 All-CCC Men's Tennis Team

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Four student-athletes on the Endicott men's tennis team were recognized for their athletic achievements this spring by the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) as senior Olivier Joggi (Stoneham, Mass.), senior Jake Cohen (Barrington, R.I.), junior Evan Ross (Worcester, Mass.), and sophomore Timothy Forance (Natick, Mass.) were all named to the All-CCC Team.

The All-CCC Teams are nominated and voted upon by the league's head coaches and announced by CCC Commissioner Gregg M. Kaye.

After previously begin named to the All-CCC Second Team (2012) and All-CCC Honorable Mention (2011) for singles, Joggi once again earned a spot on the Second Team Singles squad.  Consistently put up against the opposing team's top flighted singles player, Joggi went 3-9 overall and 1-6 in conference matches this season.  One of Joggi's best matches of the season came on April 2nd against the CCC's top ranked team, Roger Williams, as he took Player of the Year Zack Bussiere to three sets, falling 2-6, 7-5, 5-10.

Joggi and Cohen, partners in #1 doubles, were both recognized as All-CCC Second Team after posting a 7-7 (4-4 CCC) record in 2013.  From March 28th to April 13th, the duo went 5-1 overall which included a marquee win over the CCC First Team Doubles team of Kevin Erikson and Jason Pacino from Roger Williams

Cohen was also honored as an All-CCC Honorable Mention Singles player as the senior went 3-3 against league opponents mainly at the #3 position.  Joining Cohen on the Honorable Mention squad were Ross (5-9, 2-4 CCC) and Forance (12-4, 6-2 CCC).  For all three players, this is their first All-CCC Singles Team award in their careers.

Endicott, seeded fourth in the CCC Tournament, is hosting a quarterfinal match up on Saturday, April 27th at 1:00 pm against #5 Western New England at the South Campus Courts.  The Gulls defeated the Golden Bears back on April 13th, 6-3, as well as in last year's CCC Quarterfinals, 5-1.
