HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. – The Endicott men's tennis team swept past Ramapo in doubles play en route to a 6-3 victory over the Roadrunners at the Spring TennisFest.  The Gulls earned their second win of the week down in South Carolina and improved to 2-3 overall on the season.

Endicott wraps up their spring break trip with a 12:00 pm match on Friday, March 22nd against Frostburg State out of the Capital Athletic Conference.  Ramapo (2-1) suffered their first loss of the season and will face Edinboro tomorrow afternoon.

In doubles play, junior Evan Ross (Worcester, Mass.) and freshman Michael Dolph (Stratford, Conn.) took down their Ramapo opponents 8-2 at the #3 flight before top flight duo Olivier Joggi (Stoneham, Mass.) and Jake Cohen (Barrington, R.I.) followed with another win by the same score.  Endicott managed to take all three doubles matches as senior Benjamin Randlett (Middlebury, Vt.) and sophomore Eric Gandrup (Sudbury, Mass.) completed the sweep with a gritty 8-6 win.

In singles play, Ramapo got back into the match with straight set victories as sophomore Jacob Khodakov (Old Bridge, N.J.) won 6-1, 6-0 at #3 singles before junior Justin Gerstl (Upper Saddle River, N.J.) failed to drop a game in the top flight 6-0, 6-0.

Endicott responded with impressive wins by sophomore Timothy Forance (Natick, Mass.) and Ross at the #4 and #2 singles spots, respectively.  Forance battled for a 7-5 win in the first set before settling down to take the second set 6-1.  Ross won in straight sets as well, 6-4, 6-1, to get the game-winning point to put Endicott up 5-2.

The final two singles matches were split between the two teams as Ramapo's John Seaman (Hazlet, N.J.) overcame a first set loss to win in three sets at #6 singles.  Endicott's Gandrup won 7-5, 6-2 at #5 singles to wrap up the scoring.
