Endicott 6, Western New England 3; Gulls win four in-a-row

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - The Endicott men's tennis team improved their recent win-streak to four matches with a 6-3 win over CCC rival Western New England on Saturday afternoon.  Endicott is now 8-5 overall with a 3-2 record in conference matches.

The Blue and Green took the first two doubles matches before dropping the third to hold a 2-1 advantage going into singles play.  Sophomores Timothy Forance (Natick, Mass.) and Michael Lauretano (Winchester, Mass.) handled their #3 double opposition with an 8-3 win followed by seniors Olivier Joggi (Stoneham, Mass.) and Jake Cohen (Barrington, R.I.) 8-4 victory at the top doubles position. 

Cohen started off the singles portion of the match in the third spot by winning in straight sets 6-2, 6-2 followed freshman Michael Dolph's (Stratford, Conn.) 6-4, 6-3 triumph at the #6 position.

Forance's three-set win at #4 singles kept Endicott ahead 5-2 with an impressive 6-2, 6-7 (6-7), 6-3 showing followed by sophomore Justin Warshavsky's (East Hartford, Conn.) comeback win at #5 singles 4-6, 6-3, 7-5.  

Endicott looks to continue their recent success on Tuesday with a road match at Wheaton (Mass.) starting at 3:30 pm.
