Wenham, MA-- The Gulls jumped out to a quick 7-2 lead after the first quarter of play in route to beat the Fighting Scots of Gordon College 20-7. The Gulls were led on the offensive side of the field by Junior Parker Sowles (Cumberland, ME) who finished the day with three goals and four assists. Senior captain Burt Fahy (Needham, MA) was once again a force at attack scoring six goals and one assist.

The Gulls defense was supported by Junior goalie Ryan Walsh (Weymouth, MA) who made thirteen spectacular saves in the net. In front of Walsh was a strong close defensive unit, which featured Senior Josh Maciorowski (Guilford, CT), Junior Ryan Fraine (Billerica, MA) and Sophomores Greg Russo (West Hartford, CT), Rick Hancock (Wading River, NY) and Patrick Gaffney (Worcester, MA). Short stick defenders were a key factor in the win. Junior captain Jesse Blackwell (Concord, NH), Junior Brendan Delaney (Franklin, MA), Senior Greg Colcord (Chester, NH) and Freshman Ryan McLean (Mansfield, MA) were dominant on defense.

Senior Sam Chidester (Eliot, ME) had four goals and one assist, Freshman Josh Gilbert (Simsbury, CT) tallied three goals and three assists, while Junior Kevin Lally (Derry, NH) dished out three assists and scored on two others. Closing out the scoring for the Gulls were Senior captian Marc MacMillan (Weymouth, MA) and Sophomore Dan Ryan (Billerica, MA) with one goal. The Gulls improve to 11-3 overall and 7-0 in the Commonwealth Coast Conference. The next will travel to Salve Regina University on Saturday for a 6:00pm face off.
