MEDFORD - Senior tri-captain Devin Clarke (Ridgewood, NJ) scored five goals as the Tufts University men's lacrosse team earned a 16-8 victory over Endicott College on the Bello Field turf Friday. The game was a meeting between the \#2 in New England Jumbos and the tied for \#10 Gulls.

Senior tri-captain Bryan Griffin (West Islip, NY) became Tufts' all-time leading scorer in the game with three goals and three assists. He entered the contest tied with Dan Kollar (1998-2001) atop the Jumbos scoring list with 191 points and set the record with the game's second goal at 11:55 of the first period. He currently sits at 197 career points (119 goals, 78 assists).

Tufts scored the game's first five goals and looked like they were going to run away with it. Endicott was able to slow the Jumbos down and cut the margin to 5-2 by the end of the first period as sophomore Dan Ryan (Billerica, MA) scored a goal and set one up.

The Jumbos regained a five-goal advantage by halftime at 8-3 with the defense allowing just one Endicott goal and Griffin tallying a goal and an assist in the second period. Tufts really put the game away in the third quarter, out-scoring the Gulls 5-1 to lead 13-4. Clarke, who was shut out in the team's opener versus MIT, had two of the Jumbo goals in the third. Endicott scored four times in the final period, including senior Sam Chidester's (Eliot, ME) team-high third of the game. Jumbo sophomore Mark Warner (Wading River, NY) scored twice in the fourth to cap a six-point game (four goals, two assists).

Senior tri-captain Luke Chicco (Merrick, NY) went the distance in goal for Tufts, making 11 saves. Junior Ryan Walsh (Weymouth, MA) had 12 saves in the Endicott cage. Senior quad-captain Marc MacMillan (Weymouth, MA) finished with three assists for the Gulls.

Tufts, ranked seventh nationally, hosts Eastern Connecticut on Monday at 4:00. Endicott is right back at it tomorrow with a game at Roger Williams at 2:30.
