Recently, the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) announced the 2004 Pre-Season Poll for men's lacrosse. Receiving seven of the nine first place votes, EC is picked to win the CCC.
"Being in a competitive league like the CCC is always a great challenge," Head Coach, Sean Quirk remarked. "Right now our main goal for the season is to be number one in May. We are starting to gel as a team, and look forward to playing a really competitive CCC schedule."
The Gulls seek revenge in CCC play, as a result of the semifinal loss last year to Gordon, who received one first place vote; Roger Williams received the last remaining vote.
Last year, the EC was named Regular Season Champions, posting an 8-0 CCC record. Overall, the men went 13-6 and competed in the finals of the ECAC Championship Tournament. The 2003 team had one of the toughest schedules in New England for Division III, as three of their games were against ranked teams and four were against NESCAC schools.
