BEVERLY, Mass. – Endicott men's ice hockey student-athletes Thomas Pisciotta (St. Louis, Mo.) and Josh Bowes (Edmonton, Alberta, Canada) have been named to the Google Cloud Academic All-District® At-Large First Team, as presented by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) organization.
The Google Cloud Academic All-District® At-Large Team recognizes the top student-athletes for their combined athletic and academic performances. The NCAA Division III District 1 Team includes all schools in Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont. First-team Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America® Team ballot, where first, second and third team All-America® honorees will be selected next month.
THOMAS PISCIOTTA | GR. | FORWARD | ST. LOUIS, MO.
Pisciotta claimed his spot on the District 1 Team by posting three assists in 19 games as the Gulls finished the 2018-19 season with an overall record of 16-9-2 and 9-8 in conference play en route to a Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) semifinal appearance.
Meanwhile, academically, Pisciotta obtained his undergraduate degree as an entrepreneurship major in just three years at Endicott via a perfect 4.0 cumulative grade point average (GPA) and went on to obtain his MBA from Endicott with another perfect 4.0 GPA.
Additionally, Pisciotta is a two-time Academic All-Conference honoree, a two-time AHCA All-American Scholar, Endicott's Student Government Association (SGA) Vice President, founder of the Process Scholarship, and active in Endicott's Recycle Mania initiative. This is Pisciotta's second Google Cloud Academic All-District® At-Large First Team award as he also claimed the honor during the 2017-18 year and was named to the 2017-18 Google Cloud Academic All-America® At-Large Second Team as well.
JOSH BOWES | SR. | FORWARD | EDMONTON, ALBERTA, CANADA
In 26 games played this past season, Bowes registered 19 goals and 22 assists for 41 points. He also had four power play goals, five short-handed goals, and two game-winning tallies.
Bowes finished the year ranked among the top-15 in the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) in the following categories: points (4th), goals (4th), assists (7th), power play goals (14th), short-handed goals (1st), and game-winning goals (10th).
Meanwhile, nationally, Bowes was first in short-handed goals (0.19 per game/5 total), eighth in points per game (1.58), ninth in goals per game (0.73), 24th in assists per game (0.85).
Bowes currently ranks second all-time in program history in points, fifth in points per game (1.15), first in goals, third in goals per game (0.55), sixth in game-winning goals and power-play tallies, first in shorthanded goals, third in assists, seventh in assists per game (0.60), and fourth in games played.
Academically, Bowes has a 3.93 GPA as a biology/pre-med major at Endicott and has been accepted to medical school at the University of Alberta. Bowes also has been a member of the Dean's List six times, is a two-time American Hockey Coaches' Association (AHCA) All-American Scholar, and a three-time CCC Academic All-Conference honoree. Aside from his academics, Bowes signed a professional hockey contract and won a Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL) championship with the Huntsville Havoc.
GOOGLE CLOUD ACADEMIC ALL-AMERICA® PROGRAM INFORMATION
Nominees for the Google Cloud Academic All-District® Team are nominated by their respective Sports Information Director(s) and voted upon by dues-paying members within the CoSIDA organization. To be eligible, a student-athlete must be a varsity starter or key reserve, maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.30 on a scale of 4.00, and have reached sophomore athletic and academic standing at his current institution.
The Google Cloud Academic All-America® Program is a highly selective scholar-athlete honor. Approximately 2,000 of the 12,000 student-athletes nominated annually receive "First-Team Academic All-District" honors, and approximately 800 currently gain the prestigious Google Cloud Academic All-America® honor.
First-team Academic All-District® honorees advance to the Google Cloud Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second- and third-team (if applicable) Academic All-America® honorees will be announced in June.
The Division II and III Google Cloud Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CoSIDA with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2018-19 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs.

The College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA), now in its 62nd year as an organization, was founded in 1957-making it the second oldest management association in intercollegiate athletics.
